DPIIT Calls for Startups’ Application Registration on the MAARG Portal

Startups’ Application Registration: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has issued a call for startup applications for registration on the MAARG portal, the National Mentorship Platform by Startup India, in an effort to improve the startup ecosystem in the nation.

According to officials, Startup India is focused on sparking the startup culture and creating a robust and inclusive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in India to further strengthen the Indian startup ecosystem, which is now rated the third largest globally.

The MAARG portal, which stands for Mentorship, Advisory, Assistance, Resilience, and Growth in this context, is a one-stop platform that makes mentorship for startups across a variety of sectors, functions, stages, geographies, and backgrounds possible.

The MAARG portal’s goals include fostering effective and knowledgeable mentorship for startups and developing an outcome-oriented mechanism that enables timely tracking of mentor-mentee engagements. Additionally, the portal wants to establish a formalized and structured platform that facilitates intelligent matchmaking between mentors and their respective mentees.

Through Artificial Intelligence (AI) based matchmaking, startups may now efficiently interact with academics, industry experts, successful founders, seasoned investors, and other specialists from around the world to receive specific advice on growth and strategy.

The portal’s major features include adaptable mentorship programs for ecosystem enablers, a mobile-friendly user interface, recognition for mentors who contribute, choices for video and voice calls, etc.
