Oyo’s Expansion: Oyo Acquires Europe’s Bornholmske Feriehuse

Oyo’s Expansion: On Tuesday, Oyo announced that it has completed the acquisition of Bornholmske Feriehuse, a provider of rental homes situated in Europe, through its subsidiary DanCenter. It claimed that the move is a part of its effort to develop into a full-stack vacation home supplier.

In Denmark’s Bornholm island, Bornholmske Feriehuse operates a platform with more than 700 houses. More than 250,000 guest nights are anticipated in 2022 according to Oyo.

The company added that the acquisition demonstrates its dedication to Demark’s foreign affairs ministry’s initiative to encourage foreign investment in Denmark. The project offers a specialized one-stop solution for international businesses wishing to establish or develop a business in Denmark in an effort to draw in and keep foreign investments.

Through its subsidiaries, Oyo already has well-known brands in Europe, including DanCenter, Belvilla (Belvilla by Oyo), and Traum Ferienwohnungen. It said that the most recent acquisition will increase its presence in Denmark and throughout Europe.

Rasmus Lund and Jacob Lund established Bornholmske Feriehuse in the year 2002. It offers homeowners end-to-end solutions and has 737-holiday homes spread out over 30-holiday parks.

Oyo recently completed the acquisition of Europe-based “Direct Booker,” which has more than 3,200 houses and has so far served 2 million consumers.

The demand from international visitors for vacation rentals has been especially high, according to Rasmus Lund, director of Bornholmske Feriehuse, and the company’s guest nights have recently smashed records. “The partnership with Oyo through DanCenter A/s, therefore, allows us the chance to keep up with demand, just as our homeowners also benefit from the numerous web portals that DanCenter collaborates with,” he said. The deal may enable our numerous vacation house owners to increase their rental percentage while also bringing in money and creating jobs for Bornholm.

The latest destination monitor from VisitDenmark shows that overnight stays at Bornholm Feriehuse increased by nearly 15% in the previous year.
