Karnataka-based deep tech startup Neuralix AI has marked a historic moment for India’s defence ecosystem by unveiling the country’s first fully indigenous defence artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

Developed under the Ministry of Defence’s iDEX ADITY 2.0 mission, the system positions India to build a secure, sovereign AI backbone for its armed forces designed, trained, and deployed entirely within the country’s strategic infrastructure.

Neuralix AI has developed a Defence AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) platform, often referred to as a defence ALAAS solution, centred on an indigenous large language model (LLM) tailored specifically for defence operations.

Unlike generic, internet-trained AI models, this platform is engineered for:

  • High-trust, secure military environments

  • Classified and sensitive operational data

  • Mission-critical, low-latency decision support

According to public reports and company statements, the AI system can support:

  • Command assistance & situational intelligence

  • Document intelligence, rapid reading, summarisation, and extraction from large volumes of military documents

  • Multilingual speech & translation tools bridging language gaps across commands and theatres
